The El Padre's Story

A little about us…

The Reyes family has been part of the restaurant scene in San Antonio for over 40 years!  It all started with the first Panchito’s on Zarzamora operated by Evelyn and Roy Reyes.  Over the years Panchito’s has remained family owned and operated with a vibrant presence in San Antonio.

Evelyn and Roy’s son, Russell, was inspired to follow his parent’s footsteps into the restaurant industry with the Pericos concept that has now been serving San Antonio amazing Mexican food for over 20 years.

El Padre’s is now joining this family tradition, bringing the best Pollo Asado to San Antonio made from a recipe crafted and perfected by the Reyes family.  This concept is bringing comfort food in the form of Tex-Mex Barbeque to the families of the Alamo city, giving El Padre’s the opportunity to build on our mission by bringing family and friends together with the comfort of a backyard barbeque.
